Wednesday Weapon 12.21.11

James 5:16 ....t"he effective,fervent prayer of a righteous man
avails much."

Prayer is one of the most powerful privileges that we have as
believers. The Amplified version tells us that the prayers of the righteous,
cause tremendous power to be made available, dynamic in its working.
Dynamics means that it can cause explosive power to be made available. Do you have
anything that you would like to,”blow up” in your life? To see it gone, and have
no more effect upon you? To blow up sickness, fear, worry, lack, or any other
thing that has come against you?

God says that the prayers of the righteous have that kind of
power at hand. Don’t you ever think that prayer is some kind of powerless way of
just crying out to God in desperation. No, prayers prayed fervently, heart felt,
with expectancy can cause things to happen.

You may have been told that it is to late. That is not true! Don’t you for a second give up on the power of our God!
If you have a situation going on in your life, pray right now, release dynamic power
through your faith in a loving, caring God.

Thank you Father for the power of prayer. It is a privilege
that we have as Believers. We believe nothing is to hard for you. Thank you for
hearing us when we pray, Thank you for tremendous power being released on our
behalf.

Ephesians 2:8 "For by grace are you saved through faith, it is a gift of
God."

One of the things that I am so grateful for is the Grace of God. God is so good to us, even when we don't deserve it. I know sometimes that he blesses us inspite of us, and not because of us.

Grace is comonly known as Gods unmerited, or undeserved favor in our lives. Even our Salvation is a gift from God. There was nothing we could do to save ourselves. God loved us enough to send His Son to die for us. He says that He surrounds us with favor. Favor is a gift from God, you don't earn it, it is freely given.

I like what the Message Bible says about grace,"Its Gods gift from start to finish"! Salvation and all the benefits that come with it was His idea from start to finish. Our part is to believe His Word to be true. You don't earn Gods gift of grace, if you did, it would be a payment to you. It would no longer be a gift.

Thank God any one can receive the free gift of salvation. We can also receive the free gift of God's grace. It was His idea from start to finish!

Thank you Father for Your Grace that You have given to us. We are not trying to earn it, we just by faith in Your Word, receive it. Thank you for all the benefits that we have as your children. Thank you that it was Your idea, from start to finish.

I Corinthians 15: 57 & 58...thanks be to god that gives us
the victory through Jesus Christ

Victory comes as a result of some kind of opposition. We overcome it, we get through it, because of God’s help in our lives.
The next verse begins with, therefore. "Therefore be steadfast, immovable and always
abounding in the work of the Lord."

During the process of overcoming, we have a part to play. We
are not to be full of doubt and fear. We are to be abounding, declaring the
power of the Word of God. Expecting that at any moment our victory will show
up.

The Amplified says, "always being superior, excelling, doing
more than enough." We sometimes wonder, are we doing enough? The Word tells us we
should be doing more than enough.

I always say, “Do what you know to do”!. The key is in doing, knowing alone is not enough. Faith without works is dead.

The scripture says, thanks be to God, so begin by thanking Him for your victory, your overcoming. Being thankful to Him for always leading you to a place of victory. As your praise goes up, His power can come down!

I Samuel 29:6/8...shall I pursue? Yes persue, and you shall recover all.

I am doing a part two on," Shall I Persue?". Have you ever put forth a lot of energy to pursue something that you later wished that you had not? Kind of like a dog chasing cars, and then one day he catches it, and it turned out to be a bad thing.

Some things we are to pursue in life. It is always good to know that God has your back. If you are pursuing things that He says you can have, then He will help you to acheive those things.
You have every right to pursue health, joy, peace and strength because of His Word that promises it is yours.

You have a right to have abundant life, to have a great day today, to expect blessings and to be a blessing.

David ask of the Lord, "shall I persue"? Maybe you need to inquire of the Lord in areas of your life that you are not sure what to do. He always has knows what is right for you.

Thank you Father for Your Word that allows me to know some things that are already mine, that I have a right to. For those things that I need Your wisdom and guidance, thank you for directing me in the ways that I need to go.

I Timothy 6:12..."fight the good fight of faith."

What determines a good fight? I guess it could be whether you win or loose, but Paul in several places talks about the, fight of faith.
How do you fight with faith? The fight is to stay in faith. It is easy to get into the natural part of the fight, instead of standing on the Word of God, and allowing Him to fight the battle. Your part is to believe that God has your back, according to the Word. Not just because you think you are right, but because you have His Word to stand on. If you have a promise from His Word, then why give up on the victory, that will ultimately be yours. Paul said, that what God has promised, He is also able to perform.

Thank you Father that Your Word is truth. I can stand on Your Word in faith, trusting and believing that you have my back. Say that out loud, "God has my back!" You might want to say that several times a day. That is a great thing to know. Regardless of the problems you face, if you have the Word of God on it, you have a right to fight, stay in faith and get the victory.

James 1:2/4... That the testing of your faith produces patience.

Don't you just love to hear about something that will produce patience /That is the one thing that though we need it, we sure don't like it! We might do the faith thing as long as it works quick, but if it takes very long, well forget it! This verse is telling us that faith is not what gives you the victory when you are being tested, no, it is faith producing patience that will produce completeness and the lack of nothing.

The Message Bible says not to try and wiggle out of the situation, that's what we want to do most of the time. Learn to relax, when you stand in faith, God's got your back! Waiting on the Lord to move doesn't mean that He decided not to. When done Scripturally, it will draw you closer to God.

Thank you Father that I can always trust you. Even when it may seem like anything is happening, I know Your Word is working on my behalf. I am so glad that I can trust You to do Your part if I will do mine. So until my answer shows up I will rejoice in you, be patient, and draw closer to You.

Philippians 4:13 I can do ALL things through Christ that strengthens me. Tonight I will be speaking on a subject entitled, ”Never Give Up!” Notice the first three words, “I can do“. Have you ever heard someone say, “I can’t do that!” You may have said it before yourself. When it comes to the things that God has called us to do, then you can do it. Notice it says, “all things“. So what can you do? All things, I can do all things. Obviously we can’t do all things in our on strength and ability. The thing He is trying to get us to see is that it is not dependent on your strength, power or might. It is through Christ that strengthens me. Christ will strengthen you to do all the things that you set your hand to do. If you feel that God is in what you are trying to get done, then declare what He has said. I can do all things through Christ, His Word and ability. Forget giving up, He will always led you in triumph. Thank you Father that you never give up on me. I refuse to give up also. You are my strength, You are my ability, You are my power. I am anointed to prosper, I cannot and I will not fail because of Your Word. The Greater one is in me and I will overcome! P Lloyd

II Corinthians 5:7 "For we walk by faith and not by sight." Habakkuk 2:4 "The just shall live by faith." As my church people know, I love to teach on the subject of faith. Maybe it is because without it, you cannot be pleasing to God. I want to encourage you to start somewhere in using faith in His Word. A mile walk begins with the first step. You faith is not in your ability, it is in His ability. Its not just a good idea that you have come up with. It is based on what His Word has said. Faith is simply believing God will do, what He said in His Word. Obviously, you have to know what His Word says concerning you. Start today, use your faith for something. I know it will cause rewards in your life. Thank you Father for showing us a way that is always pleasing to you. You said that you will reward our putting faith, trust and confidence in you. We do that beginning today. We will make it our way of life and live by it each day. P Lloyd

Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ that gives me the strength.

God's Word never gives us reason to fail.It always gives us information that will cause us to triumph, and to overcome anything and everything. Life throws things at us that can look like certain defeat. Then we get into the Word, and find all kind of weapons at our disposal. It gives us the instructions to overcome.

Winning has a lot to do with attitude. God's Word will always bring forth a winning attitude once you read it with faith and believe it. Faith always comes through hearing or seeing what the Word says. Once you step out in that faith, declaring the Word over your life, you are setting yourself up for victory! Somebody is going to get victory, it might as well be you!

Thank you Father that Your Word always brings us victory. We trust Your Word. We declare it over the things that try and rise up against us. We truly believe that greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world. Thank you that we can do all things through Christ, that gives us strength.

James 5:16...the effective fervent prayer avails much.

Last week I talked about, ”Praying With Power“. Prayer is a powerful force when done correctly. When you pray according to the Word, it has to be correct. Victory can come from the inside out. A fervent, heart felt prayer, comes from within. An inside revelation creates an outside manifestation. Suddenly the Word on the inside becomes bigger than the problem on the outside. When this happens, you can know that victory is already yours. You don’t have to see change to know things are about to change. Thank God for the privilege and the power of prayer.

Thank you Father for the power that is available to me as a Believer when I pray. Even when weapons form against me, they cannot prosper. You said that heart felt prayers are effective and powerful. Thank you that I can know inside, even before I see it on the outside. Truly, greater is He that is in me, than he who is in the world.

James 5:16-18 "...prayers of the righteous avail much."

Prayer is such an awesome force when done correctly. Do I mean it can be done wrong? O yes! It has to be fervent and heartfelt. We seem to think that a prayer is just a prayer. Not according to the Word. Elijah prayed and it didn't rain for three and half years, prayed again and the rain came. We sure are dry around here! I believe when we get a revelation of the power of the Word on the inside, it can change things on the outside. When you were born again for instance, that was a heart felt prayer. It changed things forever, it was so real to you that no one can take it from you. You know that you know.

We are going to learn tonight at MCC how to get this to work in our lives. I don't know about you but I would like to see some things change. Join us in our mid-week service at 7pm! Have a blessed Wednesday!

Father thank you for Your Word that gives us instructions to have an effective prayer life. You said that our prayers can avail much and cause explosive, dynamite power to come forth. We believe as we get Your Word on the inside, that it rises up bigger than whats on the outside. Amen.

I Corinthians 2:9-14 "....the natural minded man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God."

Verse 14 "...he cannot know them for they are spiritually discerned..."

What we are connected to in life is so important. If all we do is stay, “Hooked Up” to natural things, we are going to miss out on so many thing that God has in store for us. God has placed so many principles in His Word for us to follow. When acted upon, they can be productive in our lives. God’s ways do not always make sense to our minds, yet if they are from Him, they are for our benefit. Giving, praising, faithfulness to church, all these things open the door to blessings from the Lord. God is not trying to make sense. He expects us to walk by faith. Hook up to Him, allow the Holy Spirit in you to be your guide. When you do this, I believe you will experience those things that can only come through obedience to Him.

Joshua 1:8 "This book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day & night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success."

We find in this scripture that God is giving instructions to Joshua, but I think also to us. Prosperity and success may have different meanings to people. It could be wealthy, or healthy. It might be a place of peace and rest. It could be a life with out worry or care. The point is, He tells us our part to do. Then you will MAKE YOUR WAY prosperous and be a success. Obedience to God always pays great dividends. Here is a “breakdown” of what He says to us: 1. Keep a watch over your words. 2. Think about what you think about. 3. Be a doer and not just a hearer. 4. And you will MAKE YOUR WAY prosperous and be a success.

Thank you Father that you care enough about me that you would give me instructions to cause me to be prosperous and successful. I am willing to make adjustments in my life that will cause things to turn around for me. I choose to be a doer of Your Word and not only a hearer. Amen.

Romans 12:3 "...not to think of himself more highly that he ought to think."

You may know someone that does this very thing! They may base it on their success in life, or maybe just an attitude. When it comes to the things of God. We should all think of ourselves higher than we sometimes do. Some have the mentality that they are just "worms", and unworthy of God's blessings. This is not what God is instructing us to do. Because of Him, we have rights, and privileges. We have been made the righteousness of God through Christ. These are gifts from God, not of works that we should boast. Without Him we can do nothing, but we are not without Him. He tells us that we can come boldly to the throne of grace, and find help in a time of need. We were all "nobodies", but through Jesus we are now "somebodies". So, when it comes to the things of God, go ahead and think of yourselves, as being the children of the Most High.

Thank you Father that because of Jesus we are made right with you. We are humbled by the fact that we are called Your children. We understand that children have rights. Thank you for the rights that we have as Your children. Thank you that we can come boldly to Your throne, and expect to get the help that we need. Amen.

Exodus 14:11 "...because their were no graves in Egypt have you taken us away to die in the wilderness?"
vs. 13 "do not be afraid, stand still and see the salvation of the Lord."

Have you ever been in a situation where it seemed that the Lord had forsaken you? You might have been doing all of the right things, but it seems that all the wrong things were happening. I sing a song that says, “hold on, my Lord will show up, and He will take you through the fire again.” I just want you to know that you need to hold on. Don’t submit to the pressure. Our Lord will show up, and He will take you through the fire again!

The children of Israel complained when they ran into trouble, and were quick to forget all that God had done for them. Moses said, "do not be afraid," that is great advice! Let me give it to you today- DO NOT BE AFRAID, my Lord will show up! The Red sea looked like an impossibility, but God had a plan right in the middle of the mess. Moses executed that plan, and the next thing you see, they are singing songs of victory! I declare songs of victory over you and your house! It never gets to hard for God. Hang in there, my Lord will show up!

Thank you Father that I can trust you. You have brought me through many storms of life, and this one will be no different. I will not be afraid, I will trust in You. I will stand on Your Word and see the salvation of the Lord. Thank you for showing up and taking me through the fire again. Amen.

Hebrews 4:15 & 16 "...let us come boldly and find mercy and grace to help."

I like the way the Message Bible says this, "Walk right up to Him and get what He is so ready to give. Take the mercy, accept the help."
I don’t know what you are going through today, but this I do know- God offers you help in a time of need. God doesn’t refuse to help us when we come to Him. It doesn’t matter if it is in the past or present. If you are one of His children, you can come boldly to Him. “Well Pastor, I have really messed up bad” or “ my problem is REALLY big”. Walk right up to Him and get what He is so ready to give! Take the mercy and accept the help. You might be saying, "I wish it was that easy.” The key word here is COME. Come to Him, it IS easy, it’s a choice that only you can make.

Thank you Father that you love me enough to forgive and strengthen me. You said my part was to come to You. I chose to come now. I receive Your mercy, and I accept Your help. I chose to do what is right in Your sight. Where I missed it forgive me, where I am weak, make me strong. I ask you, and thank you for it, in Jesus name. Amen.

Deuteronomy 5:29 "Keep My ways that it may be well with you"

Isaiah 1:19 "If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land."

God’s desire for us is that it might be well with us. He tells us to focus on His ways and His Word. He can cause things to turn out for our benefit, and His glory. God doesn’t give us His Word to put us in bondage. He gives us His Word so that we can come out victorious in our lives. He never said that we would not have test, He just promises that we can overcome. Willingness and obedience is the key to having His best in our lives. To be willing to do our part, so that He can do His. His desire for you is that you do well.

Thank you Father that in every situation, your plan for me is to do well. For every problem, you have given me a Promise. You said that you would never leave or forsake me. I put my trust in you, I am willing to obey Your Word, walk in Your ways, so that my days may be long. Amen.

Featured Sermon "Only Believe" by Pastor Lloyd

Wednesday Weapon {06.29.11}

Psalm 37:23 "The steps of a good man are ordered of the Lord"

We all need to know that God has a plan for our lives. We only live one day at a time, but our whole future has been planned by God. I don't believe that everything that happens is God's perfect plan for our lives. God says, the future that He has for us is good and not evil. He says it is filled with hope. When we head off in the opposite direction that God has for our lives, we create our own destiny. We can step out from under His hand if we make wrong choices. Our ways are to delight Him. When the do, we can know that all things will work out for our benefit and for His glory.

Thank you Father that you have a plan for my life. I desire to walk in that plan. Help me to see Your way everyday of my life. Where I have missed it, forgive me. I make the choice today to get back on the right track and follow your leading from this day forth. Amen.

Staying Attached

   6- 22-11                                          Staying Attached

John 15:4&5 Abide in Me and I in you, I am the vine, you are the branch.

Attachment is  very important. What you are attached to, becomes a part of you. In the world that we live, it is so easy to become attached to things that can "Detach" you from the things of God. They don't have to be bad things, but when they detach or seperate us from Him, then they become bad. Priority is everything. Jesus tells us to seek Him first, then the things that we need can be added to us. He tells us in these verses that without Him, we can do nothing. He is refering to things of the Kingdom of God. We can still live life as everyone else, but we seperate ourselves from the One who can give us life abundantly. Take a look at your life today. Is their anything that you have attached to, that is pulling you away from Him? If so, then get priorities in order, reattach to Him, so He can be envolved in you life to a greater degree.

Thank you Father for Your Word, it is a lamp unto my feet. Thank you for showing me those things that have attached themselves to me, and have gotten my priorities out of order. I ask for Your help, that I can have the wisdom that I need, to help me get things back to where they need to be. I desire that You be number one in my life. More than anything else I desire to be attached to You.

Something's Happening!

Galatians 6:9 "Let us not grow weary while doing good."
Ephesians 6:13 "...and having done all to stand, stand therefore"

I read a story about a tree in China called the Chinese Bambo Tree. It said that for the first four years after the seed is planted, nothing seems to be happening. Then on the fifth year, are you ready for this??..... on the fifth year, it shoots up to 80 feet!!! Obviously, something was taking place underground, that would enable that tree to have a root system, that could take care of it when it grew to 80 feet.

When you stand on the Word of God in faith, it may seem that nothing is happening. Yet, during that time you are growing in ways you will never know until the answer is brought forth. You were developing "spiritual muscles" every time you confessed the Word. You may be their right now, don't you dare give up! You are just strengthening yourself for the victory that is on its way! In due season, you will reap if you don't give up.

Thank you Father that everyday I am strengthening myself with Your Word. I will not grow weary, I will grow stronger with each cofession of Your Word in faith. Any day could be my day for victory, so I won't give up, I will continue to grow up, and know that Your Word is working on my behalf. Amen.

Hebrews 12:1.... let US lay aside every weight and the sin that so easily ensnares us.
I Peter 5:7... casting all of our care on Him for He cares for us

I am going to be talking Wednesday about, "Watching Your Weights!" I am not talking about body weight, but the weights of life that can easily get you down. I have noticed that sometimes people with a hurtful past, are still living in it today. That would mean their past, has not passed. It is still present in their thought life, and can effect them like a ball and chain. It can become a weight, that ensnares them, and still has an effect on their life.

Jesus has told us in His Word that we can give that pain, that hurt, to Him, because He cares enough about us to take it. The key words are, let US lay aside, and OUR casting of OUR cares. Give it all to Jesus, let Him set you free.

Thank you Father that I can give my past to You, and move on to what You have in store for me. I refuse to allow my past to dictate to me my future. I lay them aside, I cast them on You, because You love me that much. Thank You for setting me free from all that has had me bound. I chose to move forward to the things that are ahead.

Mark 4:38...and they said to Him,"do you not care that we are perishing!"
Luke 18:38...and he cried out saying, "Jesus, have mercy on me!"

As you see the scriptures above, both are instances where people are crying out to Jesus. The first cry is in fear, and the second one, is to recieve mercy from the Lord. Which do you think will get the attention of the Lord?

Crying out can be a way to show all kinds of emotions. Joy, fear, anger and even tears from aggravation or discouragement.I believe Jesus is moved by cries of faith. Declaring the Word of God, right in the middle of a storm. I believe that if you and I will cry out in faith, it will get the attention of our Lord today.A cry of faith doesn't have to have tears involved, it can just be confidence that believes His Word and declares what it says.

Thank you Lord for the Word of God that always leds me in victory. I choose to cry out to the mountain, and declaring that it has to be moved in Jesus name. I refuse to cry out in fear or unbelief. I stand on Your Word, and having done all to stand, I will stand some more if necesary. I will see the victory that You say is mine!

Faithfulness - A Two Way Street

Hebrews 11: 6 With out faith, it is impossible to please God.
Psalms 103:7 God made known His ways to Moses.

We serve a faithful God. We can depend on Him to always be there. The question we need to ask ourselves is, can God depend on us? Are you one that God knows, if He has something for you to do, He can depend on you? God really does need you to get things done on the earth. Moses was used of God because He was willing to be used. Do you have time for God in you life? If He gave you an assignment today, can He count on you to say, “here I am Lord, use me?”

Father, I want to thank you for your faithfulness to me, I desire to be faithful to you as well. I want to be used by You. I want You to be able to count on me. I dedicate myself to You. With all my heart, I declare to You,” here I am, Lord use me.”

It Is Possible!

Matthew 19:26 All things are possible to those who believe.
Romans 8:37 In all things we are more than conquors through Christ.

There is a great deal of differance in believing God can do something, verses believing that He will. To believe that way, is like shooting up in the air, hoping you might hit something. Believing God will watch over His Word and do it, is more like a target, with a bullseye on it.

We can use God's Word as a target to focus our faith. The Word gives us basis to believe. Believing goes beyond hoping, it sees possibility in the Word, and believes and declares it. The situation may look impossible in the natural, but God "ain't" natural! He can effect our natural problem with His supernatural ability. If you can believe it, with God it is possible. I challenge you right now. Go ahead and declare it, "I believe you God in this situation!

Thank you Father that we can trust you in everything that we have to face in life. You know no impossibilities. We chose to put our faith in a limitless God. Thank you that you always led us in triumph in Christ. We are more than conquerors through you.

Potential Power

Proverbs 4:20...My son, pay attention to my word, for they are life to you.
Proverbs 10:13... Wisdom is found on the lips of Him who has understanding.

The Word of God has so much potential in it, that it can move mountains, set captives free, and open the eyes of the blind. It can meet the needs of people, show us the way to salvation, and always led us in victory. The Word declares that it is life to those that find it. A bull dozer has the power potential, to push trees over, to move great mounds of dirt, and in a little while change the looks of a place. In order for that Dozer to release that potential, someone has to know how to operate it. The Word of God has to have someone to work it. With all the potential that it has, someone has to act in faith believing it to release that power. The power is there, the operating it is up to us.

Father, I want to thank you for the power of Your Word. I believe that It's power can be released through my believing in it. I choose to believe Your Word, I chose to operate it with faith. To think, and to act, in line with Your Word, and see it's power released on my behalf. Thank you that it will always led me in victory.

Heaven-A Real Place # 2

Last week I talked about Heaven, and how real it is. It is a prepared place, for a prepared people. Heaven really is a place, farther north than man will ever go in this body. That is why we have to be "Born Again",spiritually speaking.

You cannot get there from here, in this body. When you die, the spirit of man is released to go be with the Lord in Heaven. Paul said, to be absent of the body is to be present with the Lord.

Just like that, you are there!

In this Part Two, we will cover things like, how we get there, and will we know each other and our loved ones when we arrive. I will give you the answer to that now, of coarse we will know each other! Come tomorrow and find out what scripture says about these things and more.

Now obviously if Heaven is a real place, and it is, Hell is also a real place. You do not want to go there. It is way to hot, and it will be forever. Forever is a long, long time. We will touch on that later. Hope to see you tomorrow.

Choosing Right

Deuteronomy 30:14/20...the word is near you that you may do it.
Vs.19... I have set before you life and death, choose life!

God is so gracious to give us His Word. He gives us direction, and guidance through it. He is telling us in this verse, that it should be in you heart, and mouth, that you may DO IT. The ability of the Word is released through our doing it, not only through our knowledge of it. The Book of James tells us, if we hear the Word, but we choose not to do it, we deceive ourselves. In verse 20 we are told to do three things, love the Lord, obey His voice, and cling to Him. If we will love Him, the other two will be a privilege and never a problem. Choose right, choose life, by choosing to follow Him.

Thank you Father for giving us your Word. Thank you for the direction, and the instruction that we receive through it. We choose to receive Your life, in our lives. We love You, we choose to obey Your voice, and to cling to You. As a result, Your Word declares length of days will be multiplied to us. Thank you Father, that with long life, we will be satisfied, and shown the Salvation of our God.

Don't Miss Tomorrow's Service!!

HEAVEN - A REAL PLACE This Sunday I am going to talk about Heaven, and how real it is. Heaven is a place, just like Earth is a place. It is a place that only the Redeemed of The Lord can get to. We will find out more precise where Heaven is from Earth, more than just in the "up" direction. In am going to tell you where it is in scripture. Answer questions like, how do we get there? Do we know those that are there? I believe you will hear things that will have you thinking more and more about this place called, Heaven. We tend to think a lot more of what we can see, than we do those promises of things that we can't. Heaven is a real place. Come expecting, leave rejoicing! P Lloyd

Honoring God

I Samuel 2:30...for those who honor me I will honor
Proverb 4:20/22...honor My Words, for they will produce life

When you think about honoring God,what do you think of doing? For some it might be praising, for others it might be praying. These things can bring honor to Him, but I believe the greastest way to honor Him, is to live everyday for Him. When everything seems to be going wrong, you just take time to let Him know, I am trusting You right in the middle of this mess!

He said He would give honor to those who would honor Him. Through out the Word, God declares, you do this, or that, and I will bless you. That to me, shows Him honor, and He in return shows it back to you.

Thank you Father for Your Word. I will honor you by living it out during my day. Forgive me for not honoring You during times that I could have. In Your Word i will find direction, peace and strength. I desire to live for You and allow Your Word to live through me.

Relationship

I John 1:4... that your joy might be full
John 8:37... that My Word has no place in you

The Bible tell us that when we have a relationship with God, that it will bring us a fullness of joy. It goes on to say that many people have never come to know Him, because His Word had no place in them. God’s Word is a light to our lives. The only way to know God, is through His Word. The entrance of His Word brings light, and understanding. To have a relationship with someone, you must spend time with them. Time spent with God and His Word, will never be a waste of time. The more you get to know Him, the more you will want to serve Him, and it will become easy to trust Him.

Father, forgive me for neglecting You, and Your Word. I want the joy that only comes through knowing you. I will spend more time with You from now on, and enjoy Your Word and our relationship. I declare from this time forth, Your Word will find a place in my heart.

IT’s Possible!

Matthew 19:26...all things are possible to those who believe.
Romans 8:37...yet in all these things we are more than conquerors.

I don’t know what you may be facing right now. It may seem to be totally impossible, in the natural, for things to turn around. The good news is, that it is possible with God on your side. If you can believe His Word, then you can get started in the right direction to see a turn around.

All things are possible to the one who can dare to believe God and His Word. Your believing, activates God’s ability, to get involved in you situation. It may not change overnight, but something begins when you start believing.

Thank you Father that Your Word declares that I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me. I believe that all things are possible with you. I believe that a turn around has to begin in my situation right now, as I activate my faith in an all powerful God! Thank You for making me more than a conqueror.

Restful Alertness

Matthew 11: 28/30 -- Come unto me all who are heavy burdened and I will give you rest.
I Peter 5:7-- casting all of your care upon me, for I care for you.

I did a quick read on lions and found that they rest 20 hours a day. Lions are not always sleeping, they are at rest, yet with an alertness of their surroundings. I call it, "Restful Alertness".

Jesus is the giver of rest and peace to us. I think that we to should always be alert, aware of our surroundings. Everyday we deal with the the cares of life. I believe that we should do it with the rest and peace that He offers to us. He says, "I will give you rest."

Since He gives it, then we have to recieve it. One scripture says we are to enter into His rest. As you go through life, make it your goal to start your day entering into His rest.

Thank you Father that you have given me rest for today. I chose to enter into that rest right now. I chose to live my days with a restful alertness. I cast every care on you today, and deal with every situation with peace and rest from you. Than you for the gift of rest.

Going Through To Get To

A lot of people are going through things in life. You might say, ”that’s me!” Well, as long as you are going through, at least you are headed somewhere. Momentum is important, if you lose momentum, a forward motion, your stuck!

When you become stuck, you just sit there. Your bogged down, and headed nowhere. We can cry out, I’m stuck! Maybe we should cry out, Help me, I’m stuck!

You have to want help. God will help you if you will ask Him to. Read Isaiah 43:1&2. He let us know that He can make a road in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert place.

The Apostle Paul says, that we can do all things through Christ that strengthens us. We have to have His strength, to go through things, and come out victorious. I don’t want to just go through, I want to come out victorious.

Joining us tomorrow morning for Sunday School at 9:30, and Worship Service at 10:30. I believe God has a Word that will help you to come out victorious!

Faith Like A Seed

Good Saturday to each of you, boy did it get cold or what, but just like the Rapture, Spring is coming and nothing can stop it.

Tomorrow I am going to talk about how much God desires to bless you. It doesn't matter where you are at the present time, good, bad or ugly, His intent is to bless you.

We have to remember that God is a rewarder of diligence, obedience, and faithfulness. He keeps that no secret throughout His Word.

He even says that you can try Him, test Him in this, and see if He will not pour out upon you, more blessings than you can imagine. The blessing of peace, health, joy, favor and life to its abundance!

If you want to hear about how much God loves you, and has a great future for you, come with faith and expectancy, ready to recieve!

See you in the morning. Sunday School for all ages starts at 9:30, worship service at 10:30 with Childrens Church beginning after praise and worship.

Sticking Your Neck Out!

Hebrews 11:1 "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen."
Romans 5:5
".…the God kind of hope does not disappoint"

I do a lot of teaching on the subject of faith. We read that without faith, we cannot please God. I have found through the years that to walk by faith, you have to sometimes “stick you neck out”. You have to just step out and declare something, or do something, totally based on trusting in the Lord.
The neat thing about that is, He will always do His part. Once you know that you have received instruction through His Word, or by His Spirit, He will be there to help you and to bring victory into your life. So go ahead today and “stick your neck out”, trust God and see what He does in your life.

Thank you Father that you always honor our acts of true faith. Thank you for direction today to know what we are to do that will be pleasing in Your sight. Thank you for the leading of You Holy Spirit that always leads us in victory. Amen.

"People Pressure"

Hello all,

This Sunday I will be speaking on the subject of, "People Pressure".

When in school you may have remembered, peer pressure. It can be a powerful thing.
To go with the flow, to stay in the "click" so to speak.

I believe that is not just something that only young people deal with, but adults as well.

I believe that our goal as Christians should be, pleasing the Lord. It is still easy to follow men and what they think or say.

Some still glory the praise of men, more than the praise of God.
John 12, says that, many believed in Him,BUT....because of others, they did not follow after Him.

In this message, we are going to see the importance of following Him. And seeing how our choice to follow Him, can have a positive effect on us as well others.

Joshua said, choose this day who you will serve, as for as me and my house, we will serve the Lord!

I Look forward seeing you tomorrow at church.

Where Do You Live?

John 15: 1-8 "abide in Me and I in you, with out me you can do nothing"
Psalm 1:1-3 "he shall be like a tree planted by the river, whose leaf shall not wither"

Where do you live? I am not referring to where you live physically. Jesus said that we were to abide {live} in Him. We are the branches, and He is the Vine. If we stay with His Word, we shall not wither during hard times. We have to stay hooked up, so that we can be fruitful even during those times when things are not so good. I have seen people run away from the very thing that they should run to. There is, “no place like home”. When you live in Him, in His Word, you will always find peace, wisdom and strength. With out Him- we can do nothing. Stay with Him and He will stay with you.

Thank you Father that we have a place that we can dwell. Your Word is where we want to stay. There is no place like home in Your Word. Thank you for allowing your strength and wisdom to flow through us as we abide in You. Even if times become hard, your Word provides a way for me to prosper and not wither. I choose to live in you. Amen.

It's Not Too Late!!

Blessings To All:

This Sunday, I have entitled my message,"It's Not To Late". I don't believe that time is an element that keeps God from moving and doing something great. You may have waited for a long time for healing, restoration or other needs to be meet.

When you have to wait for a while, the wait can become a weight. You may have been believing for this or that so long that you have lost some hope. When that happens, you stop exercising faith.

That doesn't mean that you stop praying and quoting scripture, but they have become more of a ritual than a release of power.

After your prayer time, if you are still "dry" and not uplifted or filled with expectation. Something is wrong! We have likely all experienced this at some point.

This message is going to get us back on track. I am expecting miracles of all kinds to began and some to happen this Sunday. I don't know how long you have been waiting for your answer, this one thing I do know,"It's Not To Late".

Come this Sunday with expectation and a declaration,"this is my day, I believe that I recieve according to the Word of God!"

Wednesday's Weapon! {02.09.11}

It’s Not To Late!

Psalm 139:17&18 "How precious are your thoughts toward me."
Galatians 3:5&9 "...not by our works but by faith in His works…"

I have mentioned this phrase many times. "Don’t let time change your mind." Have you ever had a situation that you have prayed about for a long time with out any obvious change? Have you ever given up because of the element of time? I don’t think that God ever allows time to be a factor. It is never to late for God to move. The lady with the issue of blood: 12yrs; the woman bent over and couldn’t raise up: 18yrs; Lazarus, dead and stinking: 4 days! Time had no effect on God’s ability to change the situation. Maybe you should reconsider a few things. It’s not to late!

Thank you Father that you are always thinking about me and my well being. Thank you that you have said, "nothing is impossible to those who believe." Forgive me for giving up before the victory came. I rekindle my faith in You, and declare, it is never to late for You! Amen.

The Good Ole Days

Psalm 118:24 "This is the day that the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it."
Psalm 119:130 "The entrance of your Word brings light and understanding to the simple"

I got tickled the other day going into the post office. These two elderly gentleman were talking, and I overheard some of the conversation. One said, ”you remember that deer I killed back in 1948?”{63 yrs. ago} The other replied, “that was the best deer I ever ate, those were the good ole days!” I believe that every day we live can be “good ole days”. We are told that God is the giver of each day. We are also told to rejoice in each day! Some days we have to deal with different things. The day itself, is a blessing from God, and we should be glad for the day! The entrance of God’s Word helps us to understand that we are to be thankful for every day. Don’t worry about tomorrow, it will take care of itself.

Thank you Father that you have given me another day to live. I choose to rejoice in it, and recognize Your presence. I believe that with You by my side, I can get through anything that I have to face, and that today can be one of those, “good ole days“. Amen.

Wednesday's Weapon! {01.26.11}

Prayers That Prosper
James 5:16 "the effective fervent prayers of the righteous avails much."
Mark 11:24 "whatever things you desire when you pray, believe you receive."

Praying is a way that we can communicate with God. It is also a way for tremendous power to be released. The prayer of faith is a powerful weapon against the enemy. I believe praying right, will cause right things to happen in our lives. There are many kinds of prayers. A prayer of thanksgiving, just telling God of your appreciation of Him. Then there are prayers that have ability to cause things to line up in our lives. These are fervent prayers that are backed by the Word of God. Prayers that are prayed in faith, believing that something is going to change. Study out different kinds of prayers and began to pray prayers that prosper!

Thank you Father that we have been given Your Word, so that we can know how to pray about situations in life. Help us to see the value, and the power, that can be released when we pray in faith. Thank You that your ears are always open to the cry of the righteous. Thank you that you always watch over Your Word to perform it. Amen.

Wednesday's Weapon! {01.20.11}

ONLY BELIEVE

Mark 5:36 "... Do not be afraid, ONLY BELIEVE!"
Luke 1:37 "For with God NOTHING will be impossible."

Sometimes, we have to be reminded that the God we serve knows no impossibilities. One translation in the Word says, that nothing will ever be impossible for Him. Once we get a revelation of this, it will allow us to believe Him in spite of our problems. The situation may look hopeless, but He brings hope to it with His Word. Our part is to believe. Jesus told one guy, “do not fear, only believe”. When fear attacks your mind, let it be a reminder for you to, Only Believe. With God nothing will ever be impossible!

Thank you Father that we can always depend on you. Even when it seems all hope is lost. We chose to believe you. We refuse to allow fear to dominate us. We are so ever thankful that with you nothing will ever be impossible. Amen.

FOCUS

Hebrews 12:2-3 "Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith"
Matthew 14: 28-33
"...and when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus."

What you focus on is a powerful thing. To focus, means that you have a point of concentration. It is a specific thing that you are looking at that has your attention. We are to look or focus on Jesus, or today, His Word. Peter walked on water as long as his focus was on Him. When he began to look at the situation around him, it took his focus off the Word, and he began to sink. Find a Word from the Word that you need to focus on, and don’t allow anything to distract you.. If God said it, He can do it! If He spoke it, He can bring it to pass!

Thank you Father that Your Word is my Rock to stand on. Your Word is Truth. I will focus on Your Word and not be shaken by the storms of life. Just as your Word allowed Peter to walk on water, so it will allow me to overcome and come out victorious.
