Wednesday's Weapon! {09.29.10}

Proverbs 12:25 "Worry or anxiety in the heart of a man causes depression."

Philippians 4:6 "Don’t worry about anything but pray about everything."

One of the greatest weapons that can be used against us is worry. Worry is always an enemy to our faith and trust in God. You can’t worry and have faith at the same time. Worry will keep you up at night, it can even harm your physical body. Jesus knew all this and He made sure that we knew it to. If something harms you then you would want to stop doing it, right? Worry harms us, so lets trust God and stop doing it!

Thank you Father for making me aware of the harm that worry can have on my life. Every time I realize that I am worrying, I will be reminded to pray. Help me to focus on your goodness toward me. That you will never leave or forsake me in my times of trouble. I release every opportunity to worry and exchange it for praise to you. I place my trust in you.

Wednesday's Weapon! {09.22.10}

Matthew 11:29 Jesus says, “Take my yoke upon you and learn from me.”

The definition of yoke means "to be hooked up to." It was a harness placed upon two oxen. It caused them to plow or work together. When one of them became tired and weak, the other one helped to keep pulling until they could get in sync again.
Jesus is offering to you and me His yoke! He is saying I will help you to make it. When you feel weak and tired, just trust me to help you along and allow you to rest.

Jesus, I take Your yoke upon me. I realize that with out you I will grow weary and faint. I ask for your help, your strength and wisdom in my life. I expect to learn from you. Thank you that I don’t have to go through life alone and that you have provided for me a way to be strengthened.

Wednesday's Weapon! {09.15.10}

Wednesday's Weapon

Philippians 4:19 "For my God shall supply ALL my needs according to His riches."
Ephesians 3:20 "He is able to do exceedingly, abundantly above all that we can ask or think."

In the days that we live a lot of people are struggling with not having enough. Not enough patience, not enough money, not enough time and on and on it goes. God can help you in this area of your life. Again, His help comes through your asking and believing in faith.

Thank you Father for involving yourself with my life. You are my supply. You are more than enough God, a God of abundance. Today I believe that all of my needs will be met and that I will have enough of everything I need to enjoy this day and every day that you give me. Amen!

Wednesday's Weapon! {09.08.10}

Wednesday is know as “hump” day. You have made the first half of the week and now you are on your way to the second half. By now you may be needing a "Weapon" {scripture} from the Word that will get you through the rest of the week. I will call it:

"Wednesday’s Weapon!"

Philippians 4:13-- "I can do all things through Christ that gives me strength."

Regardless what you may be facing this week, God is eager to get involved and help you. How does He do that? It comes through your asking Him to in faith.

"God, I am asking for your involvement in my life. I declare as your child that I can, and do have Your strength, wisdom and peace.
On my own I am limited, but with Your help, limitations are removed. I release those things that I have struggled with to You. Worry, fear and confusion is overcome by Your strength that You have so graciously offered me. I receive Your strength in my life. The rest of this week I will remind myself that I CAN do all things through Christ that strengthen me! Amen!"

September- Word From The Word

Hello Blessed Ones!

I pray that all is good with you and yours. It seems like a long Summer, but maybe the end is near. Our Grandkids are all in school and getting into their routine. Hopefully by the time you get this letter we have had some much needed rain. I am glad that we know the maker of the rain!

I preached a message entitled, “Bent Not Broken”. I used the analogy of the Palm tree. God designed it to bend all the way over with out breaking. It can take a licking and keep on ticking!

Sometimes life can dish out things that can bend you over and many times I see people broken as a result of it. God has designed us to take a licking yet keep on ticking. We may have to go through some things but we know that when the storm has passed we will still be standing tall.

I read where a Palm trees root system actually got stronger after a storm and as a result gave opportunity for more growth to the tree. So whatever you are going through right now, stand tall and get ready for growth as a result of the storm.

I pray and believe that the rest of your days will be the best of your days!

If you are in the Franklin Texas area September 11, I will be speaking at Franklin Worship Center with Pastor Rodney & Billie Joe Box. Services are at 7:00pm.
