"People Pressure"

Hello all,

This Sunday I will be speaking on the subject of, "People Pressure".

When in school you may have remembered, peer pressure. It can be a powerful thing.
To go with the flow, to stay in the "click" so to speak.

I believe that is not just something that only young people deal with, but adults as well.

I believe that our goal as Christians should be, pleasing the Lord. It is still easy to follow men and what they think or say.

Some still glory the praise of men, more than the praise of God.
John 12, says that, many believed in Him,BUT....because of others, they did not follow after Him.

In this message, we are going to see the importance of following Him. And seeing how our choice to follow Him, can have a positive effect on us as well others.

Joshua said, choose this day who you will serve, as for as me and my house, we will serve the Lord!

I Look forward seeing you tomorrow at church.

Where Do You Live?

John 15: 1-8 "abide in Me and I in you, with out me you can do nothing"
Psalm 1:1-3 "he shall be like a tree planted by the river, whose leaf shall not wither"

Where do you live? I am not referring to where you live physically. Jesus said that we were to abide {live} in Him. We are the branches, and He is the Vine. If we stay with His Word, we shall not wither during hard times. We have to stay hooked up, so that we can be fruitful even during those times when things are not so good. I have seen people run away from the very thing that they should run to. There is, “no place like home”. When you live in Him, in His Word, you will always find peace, wisdom and strength. With out Him- we can do nothing. Stay with Him and He will stay with you.

Thank you Father that we have a place that we can dwell. Your Word is where we want to stay. There is no place like home in Your Word. Thank you for allowing your strength and wisdom to flow through us as we abide in You. Even if times become hard, your Word provides a way for me to prosper and not wither. I choose to live in you. Amen.

It's Not Too Late!!

Blessings To All:

This Sunday, I have entitled my message,"It's Not To Late". I don't believe that time is an element that keeps God from moving and doing something great. You may have waited for a long time for healing, restoration or other needs to be meet.

When you have to wait for a while, the wait can become a weight. You may have been believing for this or that so long that you have lost some hope. When that happens, you stop exercising faith.

That doesn't mean that you stop praying and quoting scripture, but they have become more of a ritual than a release of power.

After your prayer time, if you are still "dry" and not uplifted or filled with expectation. Something is wrong! We have likely all experienced this at some point.

This message is going to get us back on track. I am expecting miracles of all kinds to began and some to happen this Sunday. I don't know how long you have been waiting for your answer, this one thing I do know,"It's Not To Late".

Come this Sunday with expectation and a declaration,"this is my day, I believe that I recieve according to the Word of God!"

Wednesday's Weapon! {02.09.11}

It’s Not To Late!

Psalm 139:17&18 "How precious are your thoughts toward me."
Galatians 3:5&9 "...not by our works but by faith in His works…"

I have mentioned this phrase many times. "Don’t let time change your mind." Have you ever had a situation that you have prayed about for a long time with out any obvious change? Have you ever given up because of the element of time? I don’t think that God ever allows time to be a factor. It is never to late for God to move. The lady with the issue of blood: 12yrs; the woman bent over and couldn’t raise up: 18yrs; Lazarus, dead and stinking: 4 days! Time had no effect on God’s ability to change the situation. Maybe you should reconsider a few things. It’s not to late!

Thank you Father that you are always thinking about me and my well being. Thank you that you have said, "nothing is impossible to those who believe." Forgive me for giving up before the victory came. I rekindle my faith in You, and declare, it is never to late for You! Amen.

The Good Ole Days

Psalm 118:24 "This is the day that the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it."
Psalm 119:130 "The entrance of your Word brings light and understanding to the simple"

I got tickled the other day going into the post office. These two elderly gentleman were talking, and I overheard some of the conversation. One said, ”you remember that deer I killed back in 1948?”{63 yrs. ago} The other replied, “that was the best deer I ever ate, those were the good ole days!” I believe that every day we live can be “good ole days”. We are told that God is the giver of each day. We are also told to rejoice in each day! Some days we have to deal with different things. The day itself, is a blessing from God, and we should be glad for the day! The entrance of God’s Word helps us to understand that we are to be thankful for every day. Don’t worry about tomorrow, it will take care of itself.

Thank you Father that you have given me another day to live. I choose to rejoice in it, and recognize Your presence. I believe that with You by my side, I can get through anything that I have to face, and that today can be one of those, “good ole days“. Amen.
