Romans 12:3 "...not to think of himself more highly that he ought to think."

You may know someone that does this very thing! They may base it on their success in life, or maybe just an attitude. When it comes to the things of God. We should all think of ourselves higher than we sometimes do. Some have the mentality that they are just "worms", and unworthy of God's blessings. This is not what God is instructing us to do. Because of Him, we have rights, and privileges. We have been made the righteousness of God through Christ. These are gifts from God, not of works that we should boast. Without Him we can do nothing, but we are not without Him. He tells us that we can come boldly to the throne of grace, and find help in a time of need. We were all "nobodies", but through Jesus we are now "somebodies". So, when it comes to the things of God, go ahead and think of yourselves, as being the children of the Most High.

Thank you Father that because of Jesus we are made right with you. We are humbled by the fact that we are called Your children. We understand that children have rights. Thank you for the rights that we have as Your children. Thank you that we can come boldly to Your throne, and expect to get the help that we need. Amen.

Exodus 14:11 "...because their were no graves in Egypt have you taken us away to die in the wilderness?"
vs. 13 "do not be afraid, stand still and see the salvation of the Lord."

Have you ever been in a situation where it seemed that the Lord had forsaken you? You might have been doing all of the right things, but it seems that all the wrong things were happening. I sing a song that says, “hold on, my Lord will show up, and He will take you through the fire again.” I just want you to know that you need to hold on. Don’t submit to the pressure. Our Lord will show up, and He will take you through the fire again!

The children of Israel complained when they ran into trouble, and were quick to forget all that God had done for them. Moses said, "do not be afraid," that is great advice! Let me give it to you today- DO NOT BE AFRAID, my Lord will show up! The Red sea looked like an impossibility, but God had a plan right in the middle of the mess. Moses executed that plan, and the next thing you see, they are singing songs of victory! I declare songs of victory over you and your house! It never gets to hard for God. Hang in there, my Lord will show up!

Thank you Father that I can trust you. You have brought me through many storms of life, and this one will be no different. I will not be afraid, I will trust in You. I will stand on Your Word and see the salvation of the Lord. Thank you for showing up and taking me through the fire again. Amen.

Hebrews 4:15 & 16 "...let us come boldly and find mercy and grace to help."

I like the way the Message Bible says this, "Walk right up to Him and get what He is so ready to give. Take the mercy, accept the help."
I don’t know what you are going through today, but this I do know- God offers you help in a time of need. God doesn’t refuse to help us when we come to Him. It doesn’t matter if it is in the past or present. If you are one of His children, you can come boldly to Him. “Well Pastor, I have really messed up bad” or “ my problem is REALLY big”. Walk right up to Him and get what He is so ready to give! Take the mercy and accept the help. You might be saying, "I wish it was that easy.” The key word here is COME. Come to Him, it IS easy, it’s a choice that only you can make.

Thank you Father that you love me enough to forgive and strengthen me. You said my part was to come to You. I chose to come now. I receive Your mercy, and I accept Your help. I chose to do what is right in Your sight. Where I missed it forgive me, where I am weak, make me strong. I ask you, and thank you for it, in Jesus name. Amen.

Deuteronomy 5:29 "Keep My ways that it may be well with you"

Isaiah 1:19 "If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land."

God’s desire for us is that it might be well with us. He tells us to focus on His ways and His Word. He can cause things to turn out for our benefit, and His glory. God doesn’t give us His Word to put us in bondage. He gives us His Word so that we can come out victorious in our lives. He never said that we would not have test, He just promises that we can overcome. Willingness and obedience is the key to having His best in our lives. To be willing to do our part, so that He can do His. His desire for you is that you do well.

Thank you Father that in every situation, your plan for me is to do well. For every problem, you have given me a Promise. You said that you would never leave or forsake me. I put my trust in you, I am willing to obey Your Word, walk in Your ways, so that my days may be long. Amen.
