Prayers That Prosper
James 5:16 "the effective fervent prayers of the righteous avails much."
Mark 11:24 "whatever things you desire when you pray, believe you receive."

Praying is a way that we can communicate with God. It is also a way for tremendous power to be released. The prayer of faith is a powerful weapon against the enemy. I believe praying right, will cause right things to happen in our lives. There are many kinds of prayers. A prayer of thanksgiving, just telling God of your appreciation of Him. Then there are prayers that have ability to cause things to line up in our lives. These are fervent prayers that are backed by the Word of God. Prayers that are prayed in faith, believing that something is going to change. Study out different kinds of prayers and began to pray prayers that prosper!

Thank you Father that we have been given Your Word, so that we can know how to pray about situations in life. Help us to see the value, and the power, that can be released when we pray in faith. Thank You that your ears are always open to the cry of the righteous. Thank you that you always watch over Your Word to perform it. Amen.

ONLY BELIEVE

Mark 5:36 "... Do not be afraid, ONLY BELIEVE!"
Luke 1:37 "For with God NOTHING will be impossible."

Sometimes, we have to be reminded that the God we serve knows no impossibilities. One translation in the Word says, that nothing will ever be impossible for Him. Once we get a revelation of this, it will allow us to believe Him in spite of our problems. The situation may look hopeless, but He brings hope to it with His Word. Our part is to believe. Jesus told one guy, “do not fear, only believe”. When fear attacks your mind, let it be a reminder for you to, Only Believe. With God nothing will ever be impossible!

Thank you Father that we can always depend on you. Even when it seems all hope is lost. We chose to believe you. We refuse to allow fear to dominate us. We are so ever thankful that with you nothing will ever be impossible. Amen.

FOCUS

Hebrews 12:2-3 "Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith"
Matthew 14: 28-33
"...and when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus."

What you focus on is a powerful thing. To focus, means that you have a point of concentration. It is a specific thing that you are looking at that has your attention. We are to look or focus on Jesus, or today, His Word. Peter walked on water as long as his focus was on Him. When he began to look at the situation around him, it took his focus off the Word, and he began to sink. Find a Word from the Word that you need to focus on, and don’t allow anything to distract you.. If God said it, He can do it! If He spoke it, He can bring it to pass!

Thank you Father that Your Word is my Rock to stand on. Your Word is Truth. I will focus on Your Word and not be shaken by the storms of life. Just as your Word allowed Peter to walk on water, so it will allow me to overcome and come out victorious.

All Hope Is Lost!

Acts 27:20 "...when all hope of being saved was lost."

Jeremiah 29:11 "...to give you a future and a hope."

Proverbs 13:12 "...hope deferred {put off} makes the heart sick."

In the day that we live, it seems that a lot of people have lost hope. In the Book of Acts, Paul and the men he was with, were witnessing this. It seemed all was going to be lost. Yet, he received instructions from the Lord. Hope was once again in sight. Nothing had changed at the time, but faith arose in him in the midst of the trouble and gave him strength. God's Word brings strength. Get in His Word, you will find HOPE!. The REST of your days can be the BEST of your days.

Thank you Father that Your Word is full of hope. You have a great future for me, and I refuse to have any less than your best in my life. My hope and expectancy is in you. It is not in what others say, but in what You say concerning me. I live with expectancy, that the REST of my days will be the BEST of my days!

God Doesn’t Care!

Romans 8:37..."nothing can separate us from the love of God."
II Corinthians 12:9..."My grace is sufficient for you."

We need to know that God doesn’t care where you have been or what you have done. He is concerned about you future, about your tomorrow. He forgives and forgets about yesterdays and puts you on the right path for today. His grace is sufficient for you and me, and His love for us is unconditional. We are not accustom to this kind of love. He loved me when I wasn’t lovable. You may have failed at many things in your past. Failing does not make you a failure. God specializes in taking a nobody and making a somebody of them. With out Him we are all nobody! Allow God’s grace to be sufficient for you. Except His love and ability to give you a bright tomorrow.

Thank you Father for your love and grace that you show me. I am so grateful that because of you I am a somebody. Even when I was not loveable, You showered me with Your love. Your grace is sufficient in my life. My future is bright because you are my light.

Finish Your Race

II Timothy 4:7- "I have finished the race."
Acts 20:24- "...that I may finish my race with joy!"

I once ran in a marathon in Fairfield, Texas. I wasn’t concerned with winning, I just wanted to finish. I did, and was even second in my age group! We ought to have an attitude to win, but at least to finish. How many things have you started out to do and never finished? The Apostle Paul went through so many situations, yet he always continued doing the right thing, knowing that God would help him to finish. I left my job 28 years ago to go into ministry. Like you, I have had plenty opportunities to quit. I made up my mind to finish. I haven’t finished yet, but I am still in the race. I hope you are still doing what God has called you to do. It will be worth it all when you finish. If you have laid something down, pick it up again, and finish your race.

Thank you Father that you not only call us to do things, but you also equip us to get it done. I can do all things through Christ that gives me the strength. I refuse to quit. If I have laid something down, I take it up again. I will finish my race with joy. I want to hear you say, well done.

Bright Days Ahead!

Jeremiah 29:11- "...my thoughts for you are good and not evil..."
II Corinthians 1:20- "all the promises of God are yes and amen"

When we get our thinking in line with His, we will see things in a different light. Problems can produce darkness, God’s Word will always bring light. He says that His Word is a lamp and a light unto our path. Another place, He tells us to walk in the light as He is the light. How do you get His light to shine for you? You began to speak His Word over the problem. Just as you spread butter on bread, so you speak light into darkness. It doesn’t take a lot of light to see through the dark. Speak some light into your dark and see what God has in store for you.

Thank you Father that Your Word is my light. I choose to speak Your Word into my darkness. Darkness flees when light shows up. Your Word speaks of a future for me filled with hope. I believe that I receive according to Your Word. Thank You for a path that is sure. A path that I can see a way out of any trouble. I trust You and I trust Your Word, my days ahead are bright!
